Conflict as an Opportunity

Wednesday, January 16, 2019

There are at least two ways to view conflict:

  • You can view conflict as a win-lose situation where someone will use power over others to get their way.

OR

  • You can view conflict as an opportunity to solve a problem and to use power with others to find win-win solutions.

Which view sounds best to you?

The way we choose to view conflict supports us in our response. Viewing conflict as an opportunity can help us to engage with curiosity and ask: “How can we solve this problem with a win-win solution?”
